History and Philosophy
LavaNet was incorporated and went online
in 1994, offering dialup service, domain and web hosting. Today, we
offer a large array of services from dialup to frame relay, DSL, ecommerce-enabled
web hosting, point to point connections, short term event connectivity,
web design, network services, consulting and more! Throughout our
history, we have existed to build a better Internet experience for
our customers - from creating installers, to strategic technology
and pricing improvements.LavaNet is an independent ISP. We are not
owned by or beholden to any telephone company, giant parent company,
or hardware/software manufacturer. This gives us:
- great latitude to identify the right technologies to use, without
having our choice influenced by politics or restrictive
business relationships.
- an external perspective on network problems so we can help
our customers best. We frequently and strenuously advocate for
our customers when phone companies decline to help troubleshoot
complex problems, or confuse them with jargon. Sometimes a tech-to-tech
talk is the fastest way to a solution.
Best of all, customers can relax in selecting LavaNet for their Internet
connections knowing we will be a valued partner for end to end quality.
LavaNet is a member of the Better Business Bureau Hawaii and the BBBOnline.
LavaNet
is committed to some fundamental principles:
Get better before getting
bigger.
LavaNet insists on responsible growth. We will only add new
customers or services when there are the network and human resources
to support them. Further, we will only offer services that we have
tested, so customer needs for performance and ongoing support can
be met.
Service characterized by expertise, honesty and ethics.
The LavaNet staff is a fun-loving team that takes your Internet happiness
seriously. We undergo rigorous ongoing training to ensure that our
team work and knowledge comes together to solve problems fast. We
will always give truthful answers and analysis. We will only allow
parties authorized by our customer to make changes or incur charges
on your behalf. We do not sell or broker our customer lists or online
activities (though we are approached to do so from time to time by
data-hungry marketing companies!). We strive to provide world class
service with the Aloha spirit.
Great service for all. LavaNet serves business users and home
users; internet experts and newcomers.
We serve customers new to the
Internet or ones who are highly experienced with equal ease. We specialize
in developing and delivering down-to-earth solutions for your most
complex requirements. LavaNet is a "one stop shop" for any
and all of your needs, including getting your computer (or networks)
online, your website up and running, and to advance your Internet
branding.
