You can choose from two usage plans for your type of account:

• Flat-rate ($10.00 setup, $25/mo)
• Timed-rate ($10.00 setup, $12.00/mo for up to 10 hours/mo access time)

  Optional: Unix shell access can be enabled on any dialup account for a one time $5.21 fee. A UNIX shell-only account costs $12.00 per month (one time setup $15.00), and is essentially a timed rate account with shell access.

Flat-rate accounts (get application) allow you to connect to our system for as long as you want within reasonable limits, with no hourly charges. This means you can use the Internet without having to worry about how long you are spending online because the bill is the same each month!

We recommend that customers new to the Internet choose the flat-rate usage plan to start with so that they can use the Internet without having to watch the clock. Users who find that they are using the net only for email or that they spend 10 hours or less per month online may then want to switch to a timed account.

Our "reasonable limits" include:

• no individual session longer than 10 continuous hours
• we will disconnect you if you are idle for more than 15 minutes
• you cannot share the account with anyone or use this account to connect your office network to the Internet. For office solutions, please contact us at info@lava.net.

(For the vast majority of users, these limits are not a problem.)

Timed-rate accounts (get application) include up to ten hours of connect-time per month. Usage over 10 hours per month is billed at $2.00 per hour. Timed accounts are designed for customers who spend small amounts of time online (maybe to infrequently check email), and who prefer a lower-cost option with the same great LavaNet reliability and technical support.

Short term accounts (get application) are welcome: $22.50 for up to two weeks flat rate service. Longer terms can be prorated to reflect the days used. Please call us!
